About this app

ORTHOX - Orthodox Calendar is an application containing a lot of useful information for Orthodox Christians.

The main part of the application is a daily calendar containing information such as:
- date,
- information about fasting,
- Icon of the day,
- Saint of the day and holidays,
- voices,
- liturgical readings, apostle and gospel,
- prayer book and akathists,
- troparia and kondaks
- schematism of the Czech lands and Slovakia,
- the nearest church to the current location,
- notifications about the saint of the day and holidays,
- reminders of morning and evening prayer.

The calendar is available in both Julian (old) and Gregorian (new) styles. The calendar style can be changed in the application menu in the settings section.

It is possible to view the Lenten seasons of the year, the date of Easter for the coming years, as well as a prayer book with morning, evening prayers and prayers before and after Holy Communion.
