About this app

ORVO Authenticator is the companion security app for the ORVO POS system. It provides two-factor authentication for managers, ensuring that high-risk actions like voids and refunds are always authorised by the right person.

HOW IT WORKS

Your device is linked to your ORVO manager account during shop setup. Once linked, the app generates a rotating 5-digit security code that refreshes every 30 seconds. This code can be used to log into ORVO back-office systems or as a fallback when the shop has no internet connection.

For high-risk actions on the till -- such as voids, refunds, and large discounts -- the app receives push approval requests. Review the details, then tap Approve or Deny. Only managers who are physically near the shop receive these requests.

SECURITY

Your secret key is stored in your device's secure enclave and is never transmitted after initial setup. The app requires biometric authentication every time it is opened. No passwords are stored. No analytics or tracking SDKs are used.

REQUIREMENTS

- An active ORVO POS account
- A company code and setup token provided by your account owner
- Internet connection for initial setup and push notifications (TOTP codes work offline)
