Just bought and spent 2 hours trying to get it to connect to my network. No joy, so will be sending unit back. Should have read the reviews before purchase. Does not matter how good the device is if the app for controlling it is completely useless.
Absolutely terrible app. UPDATES DID NOT WORK. I already emailed the customer support, and they had no solution for me other than to wait for another update. They didn't even read my email in full because they asked questions that were covered in my email, and they didn't look at my attached photo of the gateway
I tried ~10 times to go through initial setup of a gateway, with two different phones and two different routers. The app keeps losing connection to the gateway during setup; it seems to be the way it tries to juggle wireless connections during configuration. I returned all hardware; no point fighting with something this unreliable.
Very user unfriendly. Not sure if their app sucks or their entire system. Apart from all the complaints that others pointed out, some of my lights do not maintain the mood setting I have made default. And when I reset the entire app only half the lights are getting recognized. Worst system. Very annoyed.
Lights are good as lights go but the below average zigbee range means you need a lot of globes close together to get them to mesh. The app is garbage. The latest version freezes more than ever before and it's operation is unreliable.
The reviews on this system are spot on. If you can manage to make it work, good for you. You got lucky. There's a reason they're discontinuing the entire thing. Just don't even try it, it's practically shameful that someone would let this hit the market.
