About this game

While the Emperor loses control over the continent, ancient powers awaken across the world. The King of Death rises in the dead lands. Deep beneath the earth, desperate clans fight for survival. A forbidden rift has been opened, and demons enter the mortal realm.

Every faction has its own purpose. Some seek to protect their people. Others crave conquest, power, or revenge. And some are willing to destroy the entire world to shape a new one.

Kingdoms and Tactics is a dark fantasy grand strategy game with a living world, nonlinear storytelling, and fully unique factions.

Choose Your Path

Play as one of four races, each with its own gameplay style, units, heroes, mechanics, and progression.

Unique armies and creatures
Different structures and bonuses
Faction-specific heroes and abilities
Individual storylines and endings
Completely different playstyles

Humans, undead, demons, and underground clans — every faction feels like a different game.

A Living World

The world does not wait for the player.

Kingdoms wage wars, capture territories, form alliances, and fall into ruin without your involvement. The balance of power changes constantly as dozens of castles and rulers struggle for survival across the continent.

Nonlinear Story

Your decisions shape the future of the world.

Become a conqueror, a savior, a servant of ancient powers, or a ruler who turns away from the wars consuming the continent. Every race has its own unique paths and multiple endings.

Features
Grand strategy in a dark fantasy world
4 fully unique factions
Living world with independent kingdoms
Nonlinear story and multiple endings
Tactical battles and castle management
Heroes, armies, and territorial expansion
Dark atmosphere and survival mechanics

The continent is already falling into darkness.

Now it is your turn to decide what remains after the war.

The game is really fun, and has a good variety of different units and equipment, but my only problem is how you acquire a great multitude of the former. When you begin the game, you are only given 1 or 2 types of unit, with no way to alter besides summoning spells. I feel a good way to fix this would be to either add some form of sandbox mode, or to just add a more diverse army in the beginning. With all that out of the way, the game is great, and I think it deserves the 4 stars I've given it.

This game is absolutely amazing, I have had a blast playing it. Only complaints are that some parts seem to become impossible and force a restart if you haven't gotten strong enough, particularly whenever the difficulty just seems to suddenly go up every now and again. Something like a sandbox mode you unlock at some point or something of the sort where you can have a separate save or something and can mess around with all units of all groups I think would be pretty cool.

Overall a pretty fun game! Enjoy the style of play and the mechanics. A better unit selection would be nice to have for each faction so you could buy more of the previous tiers of troops such as the base units. Also, take care when purchasing. When I tried to buy the lowest ad removal I received a fatal error and the game crashed. Started it up again and I continue to see ads as well as the charge still occurred. Would have been 4 stars if not for that.
