About this app
Otonometer provides accurate information about financial, economic and statistical indicators
from 549 regions—provinces, districts and cities—in Indonesia.
Our Modules:
We developed four main modules, namely Exploring, Tinkering, Reflecting, and Lens, which
allows users to explore regional data factually and visually.
• The Exploration module allows users to see the ranking of a region both nationally and at the provincial level by comparing financial, economic and statistical indicators.
• The Tinkering Module allows visual comparisons between districts or cities within one province.
• The Reflecting Module allows comparisons between provinces.
• The Lens Module gives users the opportunity to provide input regarding regional potential and performance.
Purpose and objectives :
Our goal is to provide information to the wider public to better understand the potential and performance of each region, as well as to support academic research in research and educational institutions. We also hope that this information can provide input for local governments in developing policies that increase regional independence, as well as helping business people understand trends and identify investment opportunities in various regions. In the future, we will enrich the available indicators, not limited to the financial, economic and statistical spheres only.

The historical data we provide is obtained from official government sources through open data initiatives and official publications, such as from the Ministry of Finance, Central Statistics Agency and Regional Government.
