Mountain Weather helps hillwalkers choose where and when to go, with independent forecasts for named UK hills and mountain areas across Scotland, England and Wales.

WINTER CONDITIONS AND OFFICIAL SOURCES

Mountain Weather reports include freezing-level and avalanche information where available. During wintry conditions, named-hill forecasts can also show an approximate snow or wintry-precipitation level when it is supported by the forecast data.

Prefer to keep trusted official reports alongside Mountain Weather? Selected Mountain Weather Information Service (MWIS) forecasts can still be followed and read inside the app.

In Scotland, choose the Scottish Avalanche Information Service (SAIS) areas that matter to you. Mountain Weather can notify you when a new official avalanche forecast is published, then take you directly to the corresponding report on the SAIS website. The app does not copy or replace the SAIS forecast.
