About this app

The Kizconnect Pro* app is designed to be used by professional installers in smart homes. All it takes is three steps to quickly pair IoT devices from a smartphone, thanks to the app’s simple and efficient step-by-step support.

Kizconnect Pro integrates with the complete Overkiz IoT line and can be used in conjunction with home automation gateways, the cloud, APIs, and the e-maintenance tool. Use of the KizConnect Pro app requires an internet connection (Wifi or 4G). Verify that all prerequisites for installation have been met before starting.

*This app is not intended for use by a home’s occupants and offers no equipment control capabilities. The Kizconnect app (custom app only) was designed specifically for the uses below. Please contact Overkiz for more information.

Functionality

Install & Connect the box
Connect to the network using the unique login code provided to you. Next, scan the QR code located on the Overkiz home automation gateway. Alternatively, you may choose to manually enter the ID number for the Overkiz gateway.

You’ll remain connected to the home until you click the “Finish installation” button. You will be automatically disconnected in the event of a network failure or after 15 minutes of inactivity.

Add your equipment
Add devices by product type. Then, select the communication protocol and pair the device.
The home screen displays the discovered devices associated with the Overkiz gateway.

Test
Pilot the added equipment to check that it works
