About this app

How cool would it be to learn some Japanese?

Have you ever wanted to learn Japanese but didn't have the time or patience? With the help of this Japanese language learning game, picking up Japanese words and phrases will be fun and easy.

Imagine visiting Tokyo and speaking in the native tongue. Imagine being able to read manga that has not been translated or watch Japanese anime in its original sound. Imagine being able to identify Kanji (or the Japanese character alphabet).

Japanese Bubble Bath includes 630 Japanese words divided into 63 challenging categories. Just tap on a bubble, hear the word spoken by a native speaker, and select the translation to pop the balloon.

This Japanese game supports both online and offline play, so you don't need a constant internet connection and can play wherever you are.

Whether you are an intermediate Japanese student or a beginner who plans on traveling to Japan and you want to learn Japanese by yourself, this game can help you. It includes easy words and phrases. You can quiz yourself on all language categories.

It's time to learn.

Japanese Bubble Bath features original artwork by Gesonrey Romero of Overpass Apps. It features vocal work by Rieah Masubuchi. It is produced by Eric Wroolie of Overpass Apps.

The concept of this game is fantastic. I started having fun again learning Japanese. I would recommend it to people who are bored with their current Japanese learning methods and need to learn some vocab. However there are quite a few bugs and possible améliorations which is why I don't give it the best grade. Bugs: - Background color in menu and game is too light and thus very hard to read sometimes - There is no sound for learning word pronunciation in learning mode - There is no arrow to go back after selecting a level - in many tests for some bubbles there is the wrong sound or the wrong corresponding bubble. Maybe offering the game to some beta tester could allow to correct that. - some times the bubble is not clickable and thus we lose a life - crash of the program : "bad argument #-1 to 'new text string' (string expected, got nil)" - the same words are present in different set Other suggested improvements : - Always pre-select the bubble that is the higher - When pausing: letting the screen as it is so we can learn the characters and also the orders of multiple choices. - make it more like a game with the percent of completions of all tests. Or grouping similar tests in sections/words and unlocking them progressively

I personally like how the app likes to mix things up, and not keep it in the same order. And give you different variations to answer the different questions becomes very helpful because if not you become very routine answering the same question the same way this way it makes you think more!
