Any Document is where the papers you keep having to find finally live: the identity card a bank counter asks to see, the vehicle registration you need at a checkpoint, a child's birth certificate for a school admission, an insurance policy, a degree, a rental agreement. You choose the file from your phone, give it a title, put it under a category and note when it was issued and when it runs out. From then on it is one tap away.
Everything sits on one screen. A search box across the top finds a document by its title, the name of whoever it belongs to, or the number printed on it. Under that, a row of category tabs carries a running count, and tapping one narrows the list to that category alone. The documents themselves are plain paper rows, each with a coloured edge that tells you where it stands: red for a copy that has expired, amber for one inside its renewal window, teal for one with time left. Anything needing attention rises to the top on its own, and the ones you star stay above the rest.
Dates are the point. Any Document counts the whole days left on every copy and works out a renew-by date from a lead time you set yourself, thirty days unless you change it. The Renewals screen lays the coming twelve months out as a strip with a marker for each document that runs out in each month, expired ones sitting below the line, and lists everything soonest first. A document with no expiry date is listed as exactly that, never quietly counted as fine.
Papers get renewed, and a renewed document is the same document with a newer copy. Add the renewed copy and Any Document attaches it to the existing record, works out which copy is current from the issue dates, and keeps the older copies as history you can still open. Nothing is overwritten and nothing has to be filed twice.
Every copy is stored inside the app on this phone and put nowhere else by it. There is no account to create, the app has no network access, it asks for no permissions, and it keeps its data out of your phone's backups. It is worth being plain about what that means. Any Document is a personal filing tool, not an official identity, government or medical service; a copy kept in it does not replace the physical document; and the files are not encrypted, they are simply kept in the app's own private storage that other apps cannot read. It holds no money of any kind: no fees, no fines, no amounts. Deleting a document removes its files, and Settings can wipe everything at once.
