While I love Packt books, their app is the only way to properly view their ebooks in a smart phone, and unfortunately, I have to agree with others that it's sorely lacking in features. Can't bookmark a page, for one, and it more often than not fails to keep track of where you left off. Inexcusable for a company specializing in programming related books!

This app is prob one of the worst readers on the market. It's especially disappointing if you have used the Packt web reader. There are almost no features from the web reader carried over to the mobile app. Also this mobile app has a tendency to not update the progress of a book, making it hard to resume reading.

Contents is rich. Monthly pricing is reasonable. Good value overall There's a few caveats though : - video reader lacks the important controls you have online (notably speed and captions) ; I just end up using my browser on mobile instead of the app - video reader isn't seen as a media on Android (you can't read it / listen to it with the screen locked; eg. Some videos can be listened to while walking for instance just like you would with a podcast) ; while you can on a mobile browser
