About this app

PagameYa is the debt ledger between friends, made in Argentina.

You haven't forgotten that someone owes you money. You just feel bad reminding them. PagameYa does it for you: you register the debt once, and the app takes care of the rest.

HOW IT WORKS

1) Enter the debt
Manually, by taking a picture of the receipt, or by dictating it. You can also message the WhatsApp bot like you would a friend: "Juan owes me 5,000 pesos for beer."

2) The app remembers
You choose how often to remind them. The reminders appear automatically, with a limit of one per day so it doesn't seem like harassment.

3) It's settled, and a record is kept
When they pay, the debt is closed, and a record of who said what is kept.

YOU CAN COLLECT FROM SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T HAVE THE APP

Send them a link via WhatsApp. It opens a page with the amount owed and your username for transferring the money. When a transfer is made, it notifies you directly from the app, and you confirm it. No downloads or registration are required.

WHAT ELSE IT OFFERS

• Karma: a payer reputation that increases if you pay on time and decreases if you're late. Check it before lending money to someone.

• Disputes: Is the amount incorrect? Discuss it within the app, taking turns with a limited number of rounds. Reminders are paused during this time.

• Events and groups: the barbecue, the trip, the roommates. You enter the expenses, and the app calculates who owes whom, without a spreadsheet.

• Clear balance: green means what is owed to you, orange means what you owe. You always know where you stand.

PagameYa is a tool for recording and remembering debts between acquaintances. It's not a financial institution: it doesn't lend money, hold funds, or intermediate payments. Transfers happen directly between people, outside the app.
