Functionality-wise it works great. Aesthetically it keeps going downhill. They need to stop adding clutter to the home screen, or at least let users choose what to display on the home screen. When I open the app I want to immediately see my incidents, these days you have to click into another screen to see them.

The app now tries to fit too much information in a limited space. The text has shrunk to an unreadable size, and actual useful data is multiple clicks deep in triage. Bad, bad UI. When you have a page for a critical service, trying to navigate a horrible UI is not what one needs to be doing.

Be aware that if you fall asleep with earbuds in the pager sound will not go through the apeaker, and there is no option to route it through the speakers with earbuds plugged in. PagerDuty refuses to look into adding this functionality and claims it's an Android limitation which was true for older versions but I have a few alarm apps that do offer this option so I know it is possible, but for whatever reason PagerDuty refuses to look into it, making pages unreliable.

What's new

What's new in version 7.0:

- Introducing the Mobile Home Screen. The new Home screen highlights top open incidents, and displays on-call shift and service information, which broadens awareness and streamlines navigation to other important, non-incident information.
- Optimized overall App performance

Thanks for all the great feedback! Email support@pagerduty.com with any comments.
