► Why does the application ask for access to my photos?
Actually, "Dictaphone" only asks for WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission so that you can save your audio files wherever you want (otherwise, your audio files would be stored in a private space, and would only be readable from the application).
Photos (just like downloads or documents) are just an example of what is stored on the external space. But under no circumstances does "Dictaphone" manipulate your photos.
Please note that in order for "Dictaphone" to access a specific folder on the external storage, you need to specify it in the path manager (in the application settings).
► My audio files disappeared after an update!?
During an update, the directories you set up had their access permission revoked. You have to go back to the application settings and add the missing directories (this can't be done automatically, the action has to come from you for security reasons).
