Panda POS uses the dataSync foreground service to keep restaurant order data synchronised in real time while staff are actively using the POS during business operations.

When a staff member logs in and starts using the POS, the service syncs any missed orders, order status changes, and kitchen/order screen updates, menu changes from the backend etc. This is core functionality of the app because Panda POS is used by restaurants and takeaways to receive and manage live customer orders.

The service is user initiated when the user logs in/opens the POS for active use. It is user visible through a persistent notification while order sync is running. The user can stop it by logging out/closing the active POS session. If the service is interrupted, incoming orders or order updates may be delayed, which can negatively affect restaurant operations and customer order handling.

The service runs only while required for active POS order synchronisation.
