Some photos are worth sharing — except for one small part of them. A face in the background. A licence plate. The address on a parcel. Blur Censor hides that part and leaves the rest of the photo alone.

Pick a photo, drag over what you want gone, and save or share the result.

THREE WAYS TO HIDE SOMETHING
• Blur — softens an area while keeping the shape of the photo
• Mosaic — replaces the area with solid blocks
• Bar — paints solid black over it, which is the right choice for text such as addresses, order numbers and licence plates

Each one has ten strength levels, so you can go from a light softening to completely unreadable.

DRAW IT HOWEVER SUITS THE PHOTO
Use the brush to trace an irregular shape like a face or a reflection, or drag a box over a rectangular block of text. Four brush sizes. Undo and redo as often as you like.

SAVED AT THE PHOTO'S OWN RESOLUTION
The finished image is written at the resolution of the photo you started with — no shrinking, and no watermark stamped across your picture. Save it straight to your gallery or send it on through the share sheet.

IT NEVER READS YOUR GALLERY
Blur Censor asks for no photo, storage, camera or location access. Photos come in through Android's own picker, which hands over only the single image you tap, and the app has no way to browse the rest of your gallery.

Editing happens entirely on your phone. There is no account, no sign-up, and no server that could receive your photos.

NO SUBSCRIPTION
Every tool is available from the first photo. There is nothing to unlock and nothing to pay for. The app is supported by advertising, and the editing screen itself stays free of it — being interrupted mid-stroke is exactly what makes an editor unpleasant to use.

A NOTE ON HOW WELL IT WORKS
Blur and mosaic change pixels rather than removing them, and research has shown that lightly blurred content can sometimes be partially reconstructed. For anything that really matters — a home address, a card number, a licence plate — use the solid bar, which replaces the pixels outright.
