LogDeck turns a log's small-end diameter and length into board feet, keeps a running tally for the load, and hands you the sheet at the end.
WHERE THE NUMBERS COME FROM
Scribner Decimal C is read straight from the Official Rules table that the scaling bureaus publish. It is not approximated. The formula that circulates online puts a 20-foot, 14-inch log at 153.6 board feet; the published table says 140. LogDeck ships the table, so it says 140.
Doyle is the rule's own formula, checked against 177 published cells. International 1/4-inch is the published table where one exists, and the four-foot section construction beyond it.
When no published table covers a diameter and length, the app says so and leaves that log out of the total. It will not invent a figure to fill the gap. Every value on screen is tagged TABLE or COMPUTED so you know which you are looking at.
The publications behind the tables are listed inside the app.
SCALE A LOAD, NOT ONE LOG
Set the diameter and length, pick your rule, add the log to the tally. The load builds as you work: total board feet, a breakdown by diameter, and every log listed so you can pull one back out if you miscalled it.
Enter your price per thousand board feet and the load carries a value with it.
Close a load out and it moves to your saved loads, where you can open it again exactly as it was.
EXPORT THE SHEET
Send the load as a CSV or a PDF through your phone's own share sheet - email it to the buyer, drop it in a message, keep it in your files. The export cites the published tables that load actually used.
WORKS WHERE YOU WORK
The tables are inside the app. Landings and yards do not have signal, so nothing here needs one. There is no account, no sign-up, and no server holding your loads.
The app asks for no permissions at all. Not your files, not your photos, not your location.
FREE, AND NOT BY THE MONTH
Every feature is free. There is no subscription and nothing is locked behind one.
Ads: no full-screen ad ever appears while you are scaling. Closing a load out or exporting it can show one - at most twice a day, ten minutes apart, and never on the day you install the app. Opening the app can show one too, at most once a day and never on your first run. The rest is a small banner.
