A tone generator produces a pure, steady tone at a frequency you choose — useful for testing a speaker or subwoofer, checking the top of your own hearing range, tuning by ear, or masking distractions with noise.

Set any frequency from 1 Hz to 22 kHz and pick a waveform: sine, square, triangle, or sawtooth. Send it to the left channel, the right, or both. A sweep mode glides from one frequency to another over a time you set, so you can hear where a speaker starts to buzz or drop out.
