Parking in Montreal has a boss level: the signs. Three stacked panels, an arrow, a snow symbol, and somewhere in there, the answer. Panoui! reads them for you.
Open the map and every curb is colored by what the rules say right now. Green means park, red means don't, blue means paid, yellow means permit zone. Tap a curb and Panoui! spells it out in plain language: how long you can stay, what it costs, and when the rule changes.
WHAT IT DOES
· Live curb colors: 142,663 signs decoded into 109,920 curbs, refreshed daily from the city's open data
· Plain answers: tap any curb for the rule, a countdown to the next change, and directions
· Parked! tracking: drop a pin on your car, set a timer, get a heads-up before the rule flips
· Sign scan: point your camera at a confusing sign and get a reading
· Snow removal notices, garages, EV charging, car-share and BIXI layers
· Permit zones: tell it your sticker and it knows where you're covered
· Drivers nearby: an optional, anonymous live layer, share only if you want to
· Free. No ads. A ticket costs about 78 $, Panoui! costs 0 $.
THE IMPORTANT PART
Panoui! is a helper, not an authority. It warns you, it explains, it counts down, but the posted sign always wins. Read the sign before you leave the car.
