A quiet town. Eight curious mistakes. One careful investigator.
Paper Alibi is an illustrated detective puzzle game about reading closely and connecting evidence. A missing winding key, an altered poem, an early theatre bell and other small mysteries await on your corkboard.
Open a pinned case file, read its brief, inspect four clue cards and hear three witness statements. Compare access, timing, materials and contradictions. Then choose the person who gave the false account and the decisive clue that establishes it. Every case ends with an explanation of what happened and why the evidence matters.
The eight original cases contain around 3,000 words of briefs, evidence, testimony and resolutions. They feature nonviolent everyday mysteries in a clock shop, printing office, glasshouse, theatre, bakery, ferry office, museum and community radio station.
Earn three seals for a correct conclusion without mistakes or hints. A hint or one mistaken conclusion limits the result to two; more mistakes earn one. There is no timer, and every case is available immediately. Replay files to improve your best result.
