Parallel History Timeline is an offline history app for UPSC, State PSC and other exam preparation. It covers Indian history and world history together on one timeline, from 600 BCE to 1800 CE, with detailed study notes on every ruler, dynasty and thinker.
Most history preparation happens one region at a time. You learn that Ashoka renounced war after Kalinga, and separately that Qin Shi Huang was unifying China through Legalism, without ever seeing that these were near contemporaries who built empires by opposite methods and lost them just as fast. This app is built around that missing dimension. Ten world regions run side by side on one shared timeline, so any moment in history can be read across all of them at once.
DETAILED HISTORY NOTES, NOT A SKELETON TIMELINE
More than 300 entries carry over 90,000 words of original history notes. Every entry is broken into the topics an examination actually tests:
Political history. Administration. Art and Architecture. Literature and Language. Religion and Philosophy. Economy and Trade. Society. Legacy.
Comparative Lens, pairing each figure against a contemporary elsewhere in the world and explaining what the contrast reveals. This is where Mains answers come from.
UPSC Angles, over 1,000 exam-focused pointers written as the specific things Prelims and Mains papers ask about.
Entries also carry capitals, dynasty, reign dates and alternate names in Devanagari, Urdu and other native scripts.
