ParentProof turns a child's Android tablet or phone into a device that only
does what you allowed — and keeps doing it when they close the app, reboot the
tablet, or hand it to a friend.
WHAT IT DOES
• Only the apps you picked will open. Everything else is blocked by Android
itself, not by a window your child can dismiss.
• Websites outside your rules simply will not open. The block sits on the
tablet's connection itself, so it covers every app, not just one browser.
• Daily limits, per app, ending in a friendly "time's up" screen.
• Schedules — bedtime, homework, school hours — that rest the device on their
own and name the schedule that paused it.
• A rest switch you control from any browser, anywhere.
• Your child can ask. "Ask for more time" and "Tell a grown-up" send you a real
request; you answer with one tap.
• Check-ins and pop quizzes that earn real extra minutes.
• It survives a reboot, a force-stop and a factory-reset attempt, because of the
way the one-time computer setup below installs it — not as an ordinary app.
WHICH DEVICES
ParentProof supervises ANDROID tablets and phones, and — separately — Windows
PCs and Macs.
ParentProof does NOT supervise a child's iPhone or iPad. Apple gives no app the
protected management role ParentProof uses on Android, so the restrictions
could not reliably hold, and we would rather say so here than sell you a
subscription and explain it afterwards. If YOUR phone is an iPhone that is
completely fine — you manage everything from it. It is the child's device that
has to be Android or a computer.
SETUP NEEDS A COMPUTER, ONCE
Installing from Google Play is not the whole setup. To get protections that
cannot be switched off, you factory-reset the tablet, plug it into your own
Windows PC or Mac with a USB cable, and run the free ParentProof setup app.
About fifteen minutes, once. Instructions: https://parentproof.com/get/
WHAT PARENTPROOF MONITORS, AND WHAT IT DOES NOT
ParentProof is a monitoring app in Google Play's sense of the term. It reports
to the parent's dashboard: which apps are installed and how long each was used,
the websites that were blocked, device health such as battery and network, and
your child's first name if you type one.
It does not collect location. It does not read messages, photos, contacts, the
microphone or the camera. It does not take screenshots. It does not record what
your child types. Nothing about a child reaches an advertiser, ever.

NOTHING IS HIDDEN FROM YOUR CHILD
On the child's device ParentProof runs with a permanent, visible notification —
"ParentProof Secure · Watching over this phone" — and carries its own name and
icon in the app list. There is no hide-icon option and no disguised mode. A
monitoring tool a child cannot see is a different product.
ParentProof is only for a parent or legal guardian supervising their own minor
child's device. It is not for monitoring a partner, an adult or an employee,
with or without their consent.
SUBSCRIPTION
[insert the 734-character subscription paragraph from §0.3 — the §53/§54 one —
once billing is ARMED in the release being submitted, which is a deployment
flag and not the same question as whether the ladder has been written (§0.3
consequence 3). Until then this heading and its body come out entirely: there
is no subscription behaviour to declare.]
