About this app

Parted Magic Erase Monitor watches secure-erase sessions running on your own network and tells you when something needs your attention.

It is a companion to the PM Report Server (pmagic_report_server), which ships with Parted Magic. Start an erase, point the app at your server, and put the phone back in your pocket. A multi-hour rack wipe no longer means walking over to the machine to find out how it is going.

WHAT IT DOES

- Sessions screen: one row per machine, with the same ERASING, COMPLETE, FAILURES and STALLED badges as the web dashboard, plus drive counts. Refreshes every five seconds while open.
- Notifications when a drive fails, a session stalls, or a job finishes.
- Optional background monitoring, so alerts still reach you with the app closed and the screen off.
- Off the network, it says so plainly instead
