About this app

DashLock is car mode for your screen. When your phone connects to your car's Bluetooth, it sets the screen brightness and locks the screen rotation for the whole drive. When you leave the car, your original display settings come back automatically. No tapping, no remembering, nothing to undo.

WHY YOU NEED IT

Phone inside the dash nook, Google Maps or Waze open, and then:
• The screen dims because auto brightness thinks the car is dark. Sunlight and glare make navigation unreadable.
• The map flips between portrait and landscape every time the mount wobbles or you take a corner.
• You turn auto rotate off and brightness up by hand, then forget to turn them back at night.

DashLock fixes all of that with one setup and zero daily effort.

• Automatic brightness control while driving: max brightness, full brightness or any level you choose
• Screen rotation lock: force portrait or force landscape, auto rotate stays off until you leave the car
• Bluetooth trigger: the car connecting is the only signal needed, no GPS, no location tracking
• Detection mode for cars that are not paired: DashLock can spot a switched-on car by its Bluetooth address
