THE FORMAT THIS MOCK EXAM SIMULATES
The multiple choice paper is closed book and lasts two hours. Its length depends on which awarding organisation you sit with, 40 questions or 60, and both are marked at 70% to pass. The mock exam here is set to the 40-question, 120-minute shape, the format used by the route that issues the larger share of certificates.

WORKED CALCULATIONS WITH THE NUMBERS SHOWN
Drivers' hours, the 17-week working time average, straight-line depreciation, financial ratios, cost allocation and budget variances are worked through line by line. The wrong options are the errors people actually make: the unit mixed up, the wrong reference period.

GREAT BRITAIN RULES STATED EXPLICITLY
This app covers England, Scotland and Wales. Where the answer depends on the nation, the question says which nation it means: HGV speed limits differ in Scotland, its low emission zones run in four cities, and GB domestic drivers' hours are a separate regime from the assimilated rules. Northern Ireland licenses operators separately and is not covered.

WHAT THIS APP DOES NOT COVER
The qualification is awarded on passing two papers: a closed-book multiple choice paper and an open-book case study paper. Both must be passed. This app prepares you for the multiple choice paper only; the case study paper is not simulated, so passing a mock exam here does not on its own qualify you. Since 1 February 2021 a Great Britain international CPC has not been automatically recognised across the European Union.
