About this app

Sourdough Starter Tracker is a focused, local-first journal for the daily work of maintaining a starter. Record what you fed, see the ratio and hydration from your own gram entries, add rise observations, and keep the details that help you understand your routine.

LOG FEEDINGS WITHOUT THE CLUTTER

Enter retained starter, discard, flour, and water in grams. Choose a flour type, record activity, add optional temperature, rise, notes, or a photo, and review the calculated feeding ratio and hydration.

KEEP A USEFUL LOCAL HISTORY

Search and sort feedings, review rise observations, and keep bake notes with starter amount, fermentation notes, crumb observations, and your own result rating. Backdate starter and feeding records when you are moving an existing routine into the app.

SET REMINDERS THAT FOLLOW YOUR FEEDINGS

Create a local reminder when you choose. Logging or editing a feeding moves the matching reminder forward, so the app does not leave the old schedule behind. Notification permission is requested only when you enable reminders.

SHARE A STARTER STORY

Choose your own photo and turn a real starter milestone into a warm, photo-led card. Select which factual details appear, save a 1080 x 1350 PNG, or send it through Android's Sharesheet. The card is rendered on your device; no account or remote card hosting is required.

YOUR RECORDS, ON YOUR DEVICE

There are no ads, accounts, analytics, or cloud sync. Starter records and copied photos stay in app-private storage unless you explicitly export, back up, or share them. Delete local records at any time.

OPTIONAL ONE-TIME PRO

The free app includes one starter, a 24-hour reminder, the hydration calculator, full local tracking, a starter quick guide, records-only backup and restore, and the complete Starter Story card. Optional one-time Pro adds multiple starters, refrigerated/dormant care modes, feeding templates, reminder snooze, 30-day trends, combined photo history, CSV export, and complete records + photos backup and restore. The price shown in the app comes from Google Play.

This app records information you enter. It does not assess food safety, detect spoilage, or guarantee fermentation or baking results.
