Pawn Clock is a precise, offline chess clock for over-the-board games — from 1-minute bullet to full classical tournaments.
Put your phone between you and your opponent, tap to start, and tap your side after each move. No account, no internet, no setup.
TIMING MODES
- Fischer increment — time added after every move
- Bronstein delay — used time returned, up to the delay limit
- Hourglass — one player's time flows into the other's
- Sudden death — plain countdown, no increment
- Multi-stage controls — e.g. 90 minutes for 40 moves, then 30 minutes with a 30-second increment
TIME CONTROLS
Ready-made presets for bullet (1+0, 2+1), blitz (3+0, 3+2, 5+0), rapid (10+0, 15+10) and classical (30+0, 90+30). Build and save your own custom control in seconds.
ASYMMETRIC TIMES
Give each player a different starting time. Built for handicap games against a stronger opponent, coaching sessions, and Armageddon tie-breaks.
BUILT FOR REAL GAMES
- Millisecond-accurate timing, even during fast blitz scrambles
- Haptic feedback on every switch, so you know your move was registered without looking
- Low-time warnings with sound alerts
- Large, high-contrast digits readable from across the table
- Your game survives in the background — take a call, come back, the clock is exactly where you left it
- Pause and resume mid-game
- One-tap reset for the next round
MAKE IT YOURS

WHO IT'S FOR
Chess clubs and academies running weekly rounds. Tournament arbiters who need a reliable backup clock. Coaches drilling students on time management. Anyone playing casual games at home, in a park, or at a café — without carrying a physical DGT or Chronos clock.
WHY PAWN CLOCK
A digital chess clock should be invisible during play. Pawn Clock keeps the interface out of the way: no menus to hunt through mid-game, no lag on the tap, no battery drain over a three-hour classical session.
Works fully offline. Free to use.
