About this app

PBMaestro is built for community pickleball — the clubs, leagues and player
groups that run on volunteer time and a shared spreadsheet.
It handles the administration: rosters, registration, brackets, schedules,
score entry and standings, all in one place. And it gives every player one
skill rating that follows them from club to club.
FOR PLAYERS
• Find clubs near you, or join instantly from your director's invite link.
• Register for an event in a tap — free, club-paid, or paid securely online.
• Play different event formats: Ladder, MLP-style team play, Round Robin, and a full Team League season.
• One skill rating (1.0–5.5) that follows you across every club you play.
• Enter scores from your phone and watch your rating history build.
• Beat a stronger pair and gain more. A win never lowers your rating.
• Organize your own pickup games without waiting for anyone.

FOR TEAM CAPTAINS
• Create a team for an MLP or Team League event and recruit with a ready-made invite you can paste anywhere.
• Approve who joins, and name a second captain to share the work.
• See who's available before you set your lineup, then set it in the app.
• Reveal lineups head-to-head — home side first, so nobody counter-picks.
• Submit scores for any of your team's games, and print a lineup sheet.

FOR CLUB DIRECTORS
• Create your club and invite players with a single link — approve members or
let them join instantly.
• Run Ladder, MLP, Round Robin and Team League events from the same tools.
• Open registration, build the schedule, and record scores — ratings update on the spot.
• Set a starting rating for each new player; after that the rating engine owns
it, so nobody's rating gets edited by hand.
• Collect entry fees online with Stripe, or keep your events free.
• Share the load: add up to two co-directors, plus an organizer per event.

HOW THE RATING WORKS
Every doubles game is its own rating event. How much a result moves your
rating depends on the score margin and on the gap between the two pairs — beat a much stronger pair and you gain a lot; beat a much weaker one and you gain a little. Losing to a stronger pair costs you less than losing to a weaker one, and a win never lowers your rating.

PBMaestro is free to use. Some clubs charge an entry fee for their in-person
events.
