About this app

Sound Spectrum Analyzer meters sound noise level (SPL - amplitude in decibel) and detects sound frequency spectrum in real time (RTA) using FFT.

The analyzer is very easy to use and offers a lot of useful features: high RTA refreshing rate and frequency spectrum resolution, adjustable sound noise level (SPL) amplitude scale (up to 150 decibels), RTA peak hold function, flat reference line, local peak frequency...

Sound analyzer can detect audio on 3 separate channels. User can later compare noise level (SPL - dB) and frequency spectrum charts between the channels.

It also includes a frequency generator with noise option, which helps to analyze the frequency response of audio system.

Audio Input/output can be adjusted to Internal, AUX or Bluetooth. However, all I/O options and combinations do not work on all devices.

Sound frequency analyzer can be accurately calibrated for each frequency band separately.

If you have key clicks enabled on your phone, then the peak reads it and becomes unusable. The frequency scale is very odd, not 1/2 octave. It would be nicer if it was standard scaling with choices, 1/3 would be great. File saving or ability to share would be very useful. Choices of response time would be great. The people that want a color change don't know what they're doing. Ignore them, work on the pro aspects. Good APP if you can calibrate it & understand what you're doing.

I really like this app but wish it had a lot more configurable settings such as bar sizing and color options. More features gets more stars! ***update... It's been a few months now and nothing has changed. I did pay the $1.99 to get rid of the ads. I don't use it much as I've moved on to other apps with more features but I keep it on my device because I paid for it and it's good for very simple sound analyzing but that's about it. Haven't had any issues with it though so that's a good thing.

using a frequency generator and very capable speakers, checked the accuracy! Not bad, accuracy is great on my cell phone. App seems to function better than most ,and seems to be very accurate! EQ easy to translate, one area could be improved with lower 15hrz-45000hrz would be the ideal upgrade! Otherwise a great app! Very happy with this app! Lee.
