Verizon is at it again! You can still connect wirelessly to your tablets, laptops or other phones wirelessly. You have to install pdanet to the device you want to connect to. And then just connect thru Bluetooth. Is not as fast of a connection as Wi-Fi but it does work. Hopefully, pdanet comes out with a fix to get us back on Wi-Fi!!!
wifi connection requires password for VPN certificate install and of course I don't know the password. WiFi connection impossible without this. Please fix or help!!!!! Samsung Galaxy 3 on Verizon with unlimited data plan.
I was going to buy the app but it only lets me go to Bing, Facebook, and Twitter. Every thing else it's blocked. I am on metro pcs. Hopefully they can find a way around this I will gladly buy the app.
Doesn't work on windows 8.1? I tried to install it on my laptop running Windows 8.1 and it gets an error installing the driver and unistalls automatically. It works on my older laptop running windows 7. Should this work on 8.1?
Wifi portion doesn't work This may be a function of my phone or embedded code by my carrier but the wifi aspect of this app doesn't work for me. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 running Android 4.4.4 on Tmobile USA. I can use this app via USB and Bluetooth (slow when on Bluetooth but that is a limit of Bluetooth not the app) but when you try to activate the wifi portion (foxfi) it attemlts to start but it then stops and instead starts the native wifi tether app which causes the phone to try to use your tethering plan.
I like it. Works well for mw. Galaxy S4 on verizon. I have no issues with wifi like the others mentioned. My only complaint is the forcing of the pin or password screen locks by the mandatory certificate. It use to allow patterns or whatever you wanted. Needs to do that again.
4.17 adds WiFi mode support for Verizon HTC phones that are updated to Android 4.4 (KitKat), in addition to Verizon Samsung phones supported in 4.16.
