Explore Lower Silesia – A New Kind of Mobile Historical Guide to the Region
Have you ever wondered what Lower Silesia's towns, castles, and streets looked like hundreds of years ago? Rediscover history with the "Explore Lower Silesia" app – your personal, interactive tourist guide.
"Explore Lower Silesia" is a mobile app designed for history enthusiasts, explorers, and anyone who wants to delve deeper into the region's rich cultural heritage. It combines traditional sightseeing with modern spatial visualization technology, allowing for a literal glimpse into the past.

Key app features:
3D Spatial Visualizations (Time Travel):
At selected historical sites, the app displays detailed 3D reconstructions of ancient architecture. By rotating your device, you can look around the area and see what it looked like centuries ago. This experience allows you to feel as if you were in the same place, but in a completely different era. Comparison of the past and present:
Using the transparency button, you can easily compare the former appearance of a site with its contemporary appearance. See how time, historical events, and reconstructions have transformed local architecture.
Voice-over narration and thematic videos:
Travel without having to constantly read long texts. Each location is accompanied by a professional voice-over recording that highlights key facts, legends, and historical context. Additionally, key aspects of the era and the history of the main attractions are presented in the form of short, dedicated videos.
Active discovery (field gamification):
The app encourages you to get out of the house and actively travel. In each available location, one historical point is unlocked at the start. To access subsequent points, you must go there in person – the app will detect your presence and unlock subsequent stories and visualizations.
Where can you start your adventure?
The app currently offers historical routes and reenactments in locations across Lower Silesia.
