PearNotes is a notes app and to-do list built around a simple idea: your notes and tasks shouldn't live in separate worlds.

Write in Markdown, capture ideas with your voice, turn checklists into real tasks, set reminders, link notes together, and find what you wrote months later.

Write with lightweight Markdown, or use / commands for headings, lists, dates, and more. Add photos and file attachments, capture notes with your voice, and search everything with full-text search.

Create a checklist inside a note and send it to Tasks. From then on, they're connected: complete the item in your note and the task updates too. Complete the task and your checklist follows.

Set deadlines, reminders, repeating tasks, subtasks, and priorities. Type something like “call the dentist tomorrow 9am” and PearNotes can detect the date. View tasks by Overdue, Today, Tomorrow, or Next 7 Days, complete or snooze them from notifications, and see everything in your calendar.

You can also write by hand on real A4 pages with full vector handwriting. Choose from nine paper styles, use the lasso and magnified writing tools, add text and photos, and export pages as PDF, PNG, or SVG.

Handwritten and typed notes can connect too: draw a [[wikilink]] by hand to open the same note it points to when typed.
