About this app
The aim of the app Pediamécum is to provide users quick reference system of Pediamécum chips, anywhere and in any condition, for professional use and to enhance patient information or their caregivers.
Pediamécum is a document database of active ingredients commonly used in pediatrics, created and maintained by the Committee for Medicinal Products for the Spanish Association of Pediatrics with the collaboration of more than 350 professionals from different specialties.
The information available on Pediamécum sheets are regularly reviewed and updated, and is based on the literature cited in its pdf version. The content of the cards included in this application matches the published on our website (www.pediamecum.es).
When you install the application, download a database of about 10 MB on your device. That is, you have all the essential information without network connection. However, since the periodic update may include security notes, you receive a warning when not connected. This notice, by definition, can not be disabled. If connected, to start the application will automatically check for updates.
Pediamécum not access their identification data or content on your device except the application itself creates, as pdf you choose to download and of course drugs database files. The application itself has access to the connection status of your device to manage updates.
Pediamécum warns non-professional users that it is inappropriate to use this application to self-medication without a prescription or to leave a prescribed treatment.
Note: When downloading the database to first use, the application requires access midlevel 3G coverage. Wi is recommended to at least 1.5 Mbps, so may be insufficient public network.
