STREETBLITZ is a peer safety app built on a simple promise: safety with consent, never surveillance. We are deliberately the opposite of location-tracking apps. We do not follow you on a map. We do not show your family where you are. Your location is shared only when YOU choose to send a Safety Flare or when a Safety Timer you started expires.

KEY FEATURES
SAFETY FLARES
When you feel unsafe, one tap sends your current location to your trusted contacts and (optionally) nearby community supporters. Contacts get an SMS with your GPS location. When you're safe, tap "I'm Safe" to send an all-clear to everyone.
RAPID FLARE
A dedicated one-tap emergency button on the Home screen. After a quick confirmation, your flare is sent immediately — designed for moments when speed matters.
QUICK FLARE ACCESS
Enable a persistent notification in your notification shade with a "SEND FLARE" action button. Access your safety network without even opening the app.
SAFETY TIMERS
Going on a date, a run, or meeting someone? Set a Safety Timer. If you don't check in before it expires, your trusted contacts are alerted with your location. Extend, check in, or cancel at any time. You stay in control until the moment help is needed.
LIVE RADAR MAP
See nearby active flares and community helpers on a radar-style map. Toggle the radius (2km, 5km, 10km, 20km) and tap on active flares for directions via Google Maps. This map shows real-time flares from people who have actively chosen to share — never passive locations of friends or family.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT NETWORK
All STREETBLITZ users can opt in to help each other. When someone nearby sends a flare, community supporters are notified and can choose to respond. You can opt out at any time. Community supporters see only your approximate location and STREETBLITZ ID — never your name or phone number.
TRUSTED CONTACTS
Add the people you trust most — family, friends, housemates, colleagues. They receive SMS alerts with your location ONLY during your flares and Safety Timer expiries. No limit on how many contacts you can add.
FAMILY DASHBOARD (Family Plan)
Coordinate safety for your whole family — without watching them. The dashboard offers consent-based check-in reminders ("I'm Safe" prompts on a schedule) and shared visibility into Safety Flares and Safety Timers. There is no live family map, no location history, and no geofences. Parent-managed accounts available for children under 12.

PRIVACY & SECURITY
Your location is only shared when you send a flare or your timer expires. STREETBLITZ does not track you in the background, does not store continuous location history, and does not display your location on any live map to others. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and protected with row-level security.
