Planning a road trip in Japan? Mappu gives you the Mapcode for any place in Japan with a single tap — the same compact code your rental car's GPS already understands.
WHAT IS A MAPCODE?
Mapcode is Japan's location code system, printed on restaurant flyers and sightseeing brochures, and accepted by virtually every car navigation system in Japan. Just enter the code — no long street address needed — and your GPS knows exactly where to go.
ONE TAP TO GET ANY MAPCODE
• Tap any spot on the map — landmark, restaurant, hotel, hidden onsen — and Mappu instantly shows its Mapcode.
• Search by name or address with autocomplete in English, Chinese, Korean and Japanese.
• Long-press anywhere to drop a pin and get the Mapcode for that exact coordinate.
• Enter GPS latitude/longitude directly to find a precise spot.
• Already have a Mapcode? Type it in to jump straight to that spot on the map.

Curious about that interesting building? Tap its icon to see the name and Mapcode — perfect for pasting straight into your car's GPS.
SAVE YOUR ITINERARY
• Save the places you plan to visit to your Favorites before your trip.

• Sign in with Google to back up your Favorites and keep them in sync across your devices.
