About this app

Percolate is a coffee blend design and roast tracking app for home roasters. Plan a blend from the green beans already on your shelf, record the roast, and capture what you taste. Your beans, blends, roasts and tasting notes stay together, so every batch gives you something to build on.

A good cup shouldn't be a lucky accident.

DESIGN A BLEND FROM WHAT YOU HAVE
• Ask for a blend at your batch size. Percolate suggests beans and quantities from your recorded stock, so you can weigh out exactly what's suggested.
• Every suggestion explains itself: which bean is the base, which are accents, and what each one brings to the cup.
• Each blend comes with roast guidance: a target roast level, a development range and a rest window.
• Prefer to do it yourself? Build a blend by hand, by weight or by percentage.
• Choose regular, decaf or half-caff, and turn on organic-only if that matters to you.
• Tell Percolate how you brew. An espresso drinker and a filter drinker shouldn't start from the same brief.

KEEP YOUR GREEN BEANS IN ORDER
• Track each bean with its origin, process and the grams you have left.
• Stock comes down when you log a roast, so you know what's left before you start.
• Add a bean and Percolate estimates its flavour characteristics and explains what the label means, like what "honey process" tells you about the cup.

RECORD THE ROAST
• A simple roast timer marks the moments that matter: start, first crack, and drop and cool.
• Your attention stays on the beans, not on a notebook.

TASTE AND LEARN
• Log a tasting in a few taps: body, brightness, sweetness, bitterness and finish.
• "Not sure" is always a valid answer. No coffee vocabulary required.
• Taste the same roast again over its rest days and see how it changes.
• Your recorded roasts and tastings give your next blend somewhere to start.

WORKS WITH YOUR SETUP
Percolate works alongside whatever roaster you use. It doesn't connect to or control your machine, and it gives general blend and roast guidance rather than machine-specific settings or temperature curves. Suggestions are a starting point to test in the cup, not a guarantee of a particular flavour.

PRICING
Start with a 14-day free trial that includes up to 10 AI blend designs. After that, Percolate is an annual subscription. If you don't subscribe, your saved roast history stays available to read.

An internet connection is needed to load and save your records and to design blends.
