Permsense helps you make sense of what every app on your phone is allowed to do — in plain words.

Android tells you an app has "location access". It never tells you what that means, whether it
makes sense for that app, or what changed after the last update. Permsense does.

WHAT YOU GET

• A report card for every app. What it can access, which of those reach something personal, and
what special access it holds — each explained in one sentence anyone can read.

• Browse by capability. Pick "Microphone" and see every app that can use it. Search 70+
capabilities by name.

• Can it go online? Every report card opens by saying whether the app can reach the internet at
all. Apps with no internet permission are blocked from the network by Android itself — not by a
promise. There is a list of every app on your phone in that position.

• Where each app came from. Google Play, another store, installed directly, or no record at all.

• Apps with special access. Accessibility, notification reading, install permissions, all-files
access — the powers that matter most, gathered in one place.

• What changed. Permsense remembers what your apps could do and tells you when an update adds
access. Optional notification, off by default, and only for the sensitive kind.

• Worth a look. A short, specific list — an app with access you may have forgotten, something
unusual for the kind of app it claims to be. Observations, never verdicts.

HOW IT BEHAVES

• Everything happens on your phone. Permsense does not request internet permission at all, so
nothing it reads can leave your device. Its own report card shows this, like any other app.

• No account. No ads. No tracking.

• It never changes another app. It reads, explains, and links you to Android's own settings where
you decide.

WHAT IT IS NOT

Permsense is not a phone cleaner and does not look for harmful software. It checks apps against
no list and never labels one good or bad. It explains what access an app has and leaves the
judgement to you. The app itself carries a page describing exactly what it cannot tell you.

Made for people who want to understand their phone, not be frightened by it.

Permsense explains what each app on your phone is allowed to do, in plain words. It works entirely offline: it has no internet permission, so nothing it reads can leave your device. It lists itself alongside your other apps, so you can check that claim yourself.

If an explanation reads wrongly to you, please tell me. Getting them right is the whole point.
