The Pet Cube's auto start function is fine and amuses one of our cats. The APP, however, is utterly useless. It doesn't matter how good my internet connection is, the camera function is equally not functional for more than a minute, if that. Yet the built-in ads work fine anywhere and everywhere. I paid enough for the device that the basic functionality should work without your additional monitoring subscription.

The camera frequently goes offline. I'll be using it for maybe five minutes before I have no connection. Our wi-fi is fine, it's on 2.4 Ghz so the walls shouldn't affect it. I am also on wi-fi at my location, there are no VPNs. Video quality is poor when it does come online. Got a $30 camera with almost all the same functionality and it works better. Was already emailing support and they ghosted me. Cheers!! 😛

We've had the Petcube for about a month now and we never have any problems getting video feed. Depending on the distance we sometimes get the audio feed. We noticed you can't have both output and input audio feed going at the same time. We only use it to check up on our cat so talking to him isn't something we find we need to do. Nor really listen either. We dont have a subscription so we can't record video , but we can take video stills. We are planning on buying another cube.
