Costs money to transfer folders. There are free apps, just use those.

Transferring folders is an in-app purchase item. But you can use the 'Select All' function in the menu to select 1,000 files. Unlike other apps, this app requires zero permissions. Users do not need to grant 'all file access' permission

Installed and transfering files in a few seconds. Easy to browse files/folders on the ftp host and local android.
