About this app

PetSOS helps you when your pet goes missing. The app gathers important information, creates a missing pet poster, and helps you quickly share missing pet reports.

You can create a pet profile with name, species, breed, color, distinguishing features, last seen date, contact information, and a photo. From this information, PetSOS generates a missing pet poster as a PDF with a QR code. The QR code contains only a pre-written contact message and your contact details, not a cloud URL.

For initial steps, PetSOS offers a short emergency checklist, including checking your home, searching the neighborhood, informing neighbors, contacting animal shelters and veterinarians, and noting any sightings.

Optionally, you can activate online assistance. This allows you to post missing pets online, report sightings, and set up push notifications. The online features are designed for collaborative searches and are unlocked via a one-time in-app purchase.

PetSOS is user-friendly, bilingual (German and English), and stores basic data locally on your device. Online features are only used when you actively use them.
