Phage.Energy is an AI-based distributed energy resource (DER) management platform that combines a virtual power plant (VPP), flexible consumption, and an energy accounting system in a single architecture.
What the app does:
The Phage.Energy mobile app provides access to a real-time energy asset dispatching platform. It allows you to monitor the state of the energy cluster, track command execution, and receive up-to-date information about the system's operation.
Three architecture levels:
VPP level — physical execution of control commands: distributed generation and storage aggregation (BESS), grid constraints accounting, real-time execution, and confirmation via telemetry.
Computing level — elastic consumption, which is activated only when the VPP confirms the presence of excess energy. Computing does not compete with the grid, but rather stabilizes the system by absorbing the excess.
The Energy Credit Level is a unit of account that is charged solely on proven execution: both the VPP and the computational level must confirm the execution of the command.
Who is it for:
The platform is designed for distributed generation operators, energy storage owners, flexibility market participants, and computing infrastructure operators who seek to convert excess renewable energy into useful work.

Why this matters:
Renewable generation does not follow a schedule — it follows physics. The share of wind and solar generation that declines due to inability to absorb can be as high as 5–15%.
