Scry is an AI-first debugging tool for ROS 2 robots. Connect to any robot on your network, then ask questions in plain English. Scry's AI agent inspects topics, calls services, reads logs, and reports back with rich visualizations, all from your phone.

AI copilot for debugging
Bring one OpenRouter key and pick from 300+ models, including Claude, GPT, Gemini, Llama, DeepSeek, and dozens of free open-weight options. Or run a model locally with Ollama, no key needed. Ask why the robot is stuck or what the battery level is, and Scry calls the right ROS 2 tools, parses the result, and explains it in plain English.
No terminal, no laptop
A pocket-sized alternative to the ros2 command line. Browse topics, nodes, services, actions, lifecycle states, parameters, components, TF frames, and logs, each on a fast, searchable list with one-tap detail.
Live visualizations
Watch sensor streams render inline: camera feeds, LiDAR scans, IMU, battery, GPS, behavior trees, plots, and top-down scene maps. Tap any topic to open a live panel, and pin the ones you care about for instant return.
Multi-robot fleet view
Switch between robots from the chat top bar. Compare two robots side by side, or ask the AI to diagnose the whole fleet at once.
Safe by default
Every write operation, including publishing to topics, calling services, and sending action goals, requires explicit on-screen confirmation. The AI proposes and you approve. No surprises.
How it works
Run the open-source scry-connect server on your robot with a single pip install, then pair your phone with a QR code. The AI runs on your chosen provider, and robot data never leaves your local network.
Scry is DDS and middleware agnostic. It works with Fast-DDS, CycloneDDS, Zenoh, and Connext, and supports ROS 2 Humble, Iron, Jazzy, and Rolling.
