Philips DreamMapper has access to the following permissions:

Approximate location (network-based): This is to set up Bluetooth communication. A location is required to acquire the pair.

Read the contents of your USB storage: This is a way to access the DSN image that might be stored on the SD card (some Androids devices store images to the SD card). This is the default behavior when you ask for the Photo/Media/Files access.

Take pictures and videos: Used to scan the DSN.

Other reasons
Receive data from Internet: DreamMapper needs to communicate with its Data Center.
View network connections: Wi-Fi setup as well as the need for DreamMapper to communicate with its Data Center.
Pair with Bluetooth devices: First-time connection to another Bluetooth device.
Access Bluetooth settings: First-time connection to another Bluetooth device.
Full network access: DreamMapper needs to communicate with its Data Center.
Prevent device from sleeping: Prevents the phone from “going to sleep” while playing videos.

The app could be more intuitive. Connecting to Bluetooth gets complicated. Make sure the new device serial number has been entered to replace the old one. You also have to allow Bluetooth in two places under settings and under therapy device. There are a number of steps but it is doable.

This app was great. Since the "update" it is worthless. I haven't been able to get any data since the update. I will just be deleting since it just takes up space on my phone now. That being said, the app was the only good thing about the machine. I prefer the last 2 machines I had (prior to the one that was recalled). I got this c-pap because of the recall on the last one. I did not choose it, and after my experiance with this one I likely won't be getting another Phillips machine.

Frequently doesn't work. Right now I can't log in at all. After months of not asking for password, it all of a sudden does and of course I can't remember it, so I enter my email address, scan the label on my Dreamstation Go for resetting password and it states that the information doesn't match their records. So here I am completely unable to use this POS app for about a week now. Might as well uninstall it. 6-26-2022. Once again, frozen app.
