About this app

Knowing the chemical elements is essential for understanding science at any level. Whether for school, university or personal interest, structured repetition helps build reliable long-term memory. This app provides an efficient learning system that goes well beyond simple quizzes.

The core is an adaptive spaced repetition system that adjusts intervals based on your actual memory performance. If you recall an element after a longer interval than expected, the next interval increases. If you hesitate or make a mistake, the interval decreases without resetting your progress. This ensures that you focus your time on what truly needs reinforcement.

Two learning modes support different goals. Multiple Choice offers quick practice and is ideal for building confidence early on. Self-Assessment strengthens active recall: you try to remember the answer yourself before rating whether you knew it, almost knew it, or did not know it. This mode leads to stronger long-term retention.

Content is organized clearly. The app includes all 118 elements, divided into s-block (14), p-block (36), d-block (40) and f-block (28). You can freely enable or disable categories depending on your goals. Several question types are available, such as Symbol → Name, Name → Symbol, and prompts about sets, groups or periods. All settings can be changed at any time without losing progress.

Tests provide a transparent way to evaluate your knowledge. Each category test asks every element once, awarding silver or gold medals based on performance. Tests can be repeated as often as desired and make your progress easy to track.

A full card browser allows you to review any element at any time.

it would be worth more stars if there was a bit of information about each element when you click on the answer. Otherwise you're not learning all that much disappointingly.
