Quotes shape language, thought, and culture. Those who confidently understand and can identify well-known sayings recognize allusions in books, media, and conversations more quickly and gain a better sense of style and meaning. This app helps you not only read quotes but also retain them permanently and recall them at will.

At its core, the app uses adaptive spaced repetition. The repetition intervals adjust to your actual memory capacity. If you confidently recall a quote or the corresponding author after a longer interval, the next interval is lengthened. If you are unsure or answer incorrectly, the interval is shortened without resetting your progress. This way, you practice precisely what you need to solidify.

Two learning modes are available. Multiple choice allows for quick rounds with immediate feedback and is well-suited for learning new quotes and recognizing patterns. Self-assessment strengthens active recall: You see a quote or a name, try to recall the association yourself, and then evaluate whether you knew it, almost knew it, or didn't know it at all. This leads to more stable long-term retention.

The content is organized into clear categories, such as topics, styles, or authors. Each card contains the quote and its corresponding attribution, like author or source. You can flexibly select and deselect categories to focus on specific areas.

There are several question types, including quote → author/source and author/source → quote. This allows you to practice both recognition and active recall. Settings can be changed at any time without losing progress.

Tests provide a clear assessment of your current level. In a test, each card in the selected category is reviewed once. Depending on your result, you receive a silver or gold medal. Tests can be repeated as often as you like and transparently show how your knowledge is developing.

A card overview also allows for free reference and review.
