About this app

PhoneAid helps you guide a family member, friend or trusted person through phone problems without taking control of their device. Pair securely, understand what is happening, and send clear step-by-step guidance they can follow at their own pace.

Built for guided remote support, PhoneAid connects two trusted people: a Helper and an Assisted user. The Assisted user can ask for help, optionally share selected phone status information, and manually send a screenshot when visual context is needed. The Helper can review the request and provide practical guidance through an easy, structured support flow.

What you can do with PhoneAid

• Connect a Helper and Assisted phone with a secure pairing flow.
• Send simple help requests for common phone problems.
• Share selected device status information only with permission.
• Review useful technical summaries such as device, battery and storage status.
• Use guided troubleshooting and step-by-step solution cards.
• Manually share a screenshot when a problem is easier to explain visually.
• Follow one clear step at a time instead of long technical instructions.
• Use Simple Assist Mode with larger controls and a simpler interface.
• Manage sharing choices from the Privacy Center.
• Stop sharing or remove a trusted pairing when needed.

Designed for people who do not live and breathe technology

PhoneAid is especially useful when helping parents, relatives, friends or anyone who finds phone settings and troubleshooting difficult. The Assisted experience is designed to reduce confusion with simple choices, larger controls and clear instructions.

Privacy-first by design

PhoneAid is guidance, not remote control. It does not let another person secretly take over your phone or tap through your apps. Screenshots are shared manually by the user. Optional diagnostic information is shared according to the user's choices.

PhoneAid is designed to avoid unnecessary access to private content. Messages, passwords, banking information, contacts, call history, location, microphone and camera content are not automatically shared as part of the guided support flow.

A clearer way to help from a distance

Instead of trying to explain every menu over a phone call, PhoneAid gives both people a shared support process: ask for help, understand the issue, send guidance, follow the steps and confirm the result.

PhoneAid currently focuses on guided phone support and troubleshooting. It is not a remote-control or device-management tool.
