You no longer use the card itself you need to use the app for actually getting the benefits, which is a good idea, except the way the app implement this is not user friendly. When you try to use the app you need to click “redeem the code“. This will provide a code that you give to the waiter so he can apply the discount. So, when I was trying to use I clicked redeem code, and showed to the waiter, so he went to get the check and come back. By the time he came back to write down the code provided by passport, the app had timed out and would not let me see the code that I just redeemed. So I when I tried to click redeem again, it said that I already used the code and I could not use it. There is no option to see recently redeemed codes. So, for me since the waiter did not get the code before it timed out, he could not apply the discount and I ended pay full price. Completely avoid ale problem that I know other people also ran into it. I sent a feedback to the company explaining why their process is not clear, and how the app would massively benefit from having an option to see codes that were recently, but they said that is fine the way it is.
How to use app? under each item, I only see blue button "go to website" and nothing else. On my coworker's app I use blue button "use this card". I am on newest update and have tried logging in/out multiple times. Also "submit feedback" keeps crashing the app making it impossible to give feedback so I'm writing here...
Doesn't work anymore It was working before, now all it is doing is hanging when opening the app with the message, "Retry connection" I left it for 10 minutes and it was still in the same state. Had to force it to stop to get the error message off my screen.
Interface can be much better It is very important to do 2 things: set location and search deals in that location. There seems to be a way to set location, but the search feature is horrible. I was trying top find car rental deals and was unable top find it in San diego area. Map view is handy in discovering local deals. So that is a good feature.
This app is horrible! Searching for a specific restaurant sucks and it keeps making my location Mountain View, CA when I live in Seattle. I will not be renewing my membership unless they go back to cards to simplify this or make the app waaaaay better than it currently works.
