Use the Free DC WiFi Hotspot Finder to locate a hotspot near your current location or at a destination of your choice. Then use the driving directions to guide you to your favorite DC WiFi hotspot. Real time data indicates when a DC WiFi hotspot is unavailable.

DC-Net, operating under the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) has made the DC WiFi application free for download.

"For development purposes only." Of course it doesn't work. It's also an accurate description of the city. This is the real motto of the city. And DC NET can“t even load the map, so forget wifi.

If your staying in DC for more than two days, it's worth loading, security of use and almost personalized service.

What's new

Terms of Conditions of Use, and the Privacy Policy now open in the users default browser. When the user returns to the application they can pick up where they left off without restarting it.

Upon loading the app, the map consistently pans to your location and includes the closest 5 hotspots. Zooming or panning before your location is found will no longer alter this behavior.
