Subscriptn program. Past review: Seems to be a complete games based reading program. synthetic phonics. Games: simple, not too long, fun & varied. Rewards. Different methods of teachg. DONT LIKE: 1) in Australia, 'a' before 'n/m' says 'air' NOT 'a'. I had to teach this rule before i wanted to so that we could go on with program. 2) child was progressing well in the basic sounds/words when suddenly given words like: 'was/the' before being taught 'th' or 'a after w says o' rule. Cant go on.

It's one of the best educational games out there!! My son uses this app for after school, and his sight reading has improved massively! It also teaches spelling and comprehension whilst in a fun format that I find myself enjoying too. There's a reporting section that is incredibly useful. It shows if they have mastered the skill for that level or if they need more work without the children seeing the scores themselves. Most importantly, it's one that my son wants to keep playing!

Phonics Hero is a really great educational app for 5-year-old kids. It is helping my children improve their English speaking and reading skills in a fun and easy way. My kids enjoy learning with this app every day. I purchased it again for my younger son because we had such a good experience the first time. Highly recommended for young children learning English!
