About this app

Shepherd Guard is a grace-filled pause between impulse and action. You set the boundaries. Shepherd helps you keep them.

Choose the apps and websites you want help with, or turn on a built-in list of common adult sites. When you open one, Shepherd pauses you and reminds you why you chose this, in your own words. Then the choice is yours: talk to Shepherd, or continue.

KEEP THE PEOPLE. LOSE THE PULL.
Add Social in Guard and Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X and Reddit open inside Guard. The people you follow, your messages, your groups and your subscriptions stay. Reels, Shorts, Explore and endless recommendations go.
• Fill your feed: Guard suggests your church, Bible teaching and worship to follow, one tap each.
• Guard blurs explicit images it finds, even outside your Guard hours. Suggestive photos are blurred until you tap.
• Images are checked on this phone. Guard never uploads the images you view.
Turn it off in Settings in one tap.

THREE WAYS TO BE HELPED
• Gentle: a pause and a reminder. You can always continue.
• Strong: the same pause, with 30 seconds to breathe first.
• Commitment: a promise for the hours you choose, like 10 PM to 6 AM. Inside them there is no continue.

WHEN THE MOMENT COMES
• Say what you are actually feeling: lonely, stressed, bored, tired, hurt.
• A short true word and Scripture for that feeling.
• Pray, read Scripture, or see something God made: a painting and a true fact about His creation.
• Get through the next ten minutes with a few small steps and a timer.
• Text the one person you trust for encouragement. They never get reports, only a request for prayer when you ask.
• Talk it through with Shepherd, the FaithPulse guide that points you to Christ.

NO SHAME, NO SURVEILLANCE
• No screenshots. No browsing history. No secret monitoring.
• No automatic reports to anyone.
• No streaks. A hard day never erases the times you chose a different path.
• No account needed. Nothing about what you pause leaves your phone, even if you sign in.

HELP ALWAYS COMES FIRST
Crisis lines, a counselor search, recovery groups and churches near you are on every screen, never behind a pause. Your phone, messages and settings can never be paused.

IN EIGHT LANGUAGES
English, Español, Filipino, Français, Bahasa Indonesia, 한국어, Português and Tiếng Việt, with Scripture from each language's own Bible. Choose yours on the first screen.

ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE: Android has no built-in way to pause the apps you choose, so Shepherd Guard uses Android's Accessibility service to see which app is open and, in your browser, the website address, only to pause what you chose and to open the social apps you chose in Guard instead. It does not read, store or send what is on your screen, and nothing leaves your phone.
