Phyn lets you speak the language of water.

From the free Phyn app you can understand how much water your family uses and where they are using it the most. Get alerted the minute a leak issue occurs and run diagnostic "Plumbing Checks" to proactively catch tiny leaks before they become big problems.



PHYN SMART WATER ASSISTANT

Leak alerts:
SMS and push notifications alert you at the first sign of a possible issue. Take action by connecting to a HomeAdvisor plumber in minutes through the app.

Plumbing Checks:
Turn off your water at the main and run Phyn’s Plumbing Check feature. In minutes Phyn will detect pinhole leaks and poor seals in your water system.

Water Use Plus:
Track and view your water use daily and monthly to get ahead of your water costs, and see how your home compares to others. Over time, Phyn learns your system and communicates your water usage down to each fixture. See every water event in your home so you can teach Phyn about your water use.

Pre-Freeze Warnings:
Phyn’s patented pressure sensing sees the ice crystals forming in your pipes before they have a chance to freeze and burst, giving you precious time to take action and avoid damage.

Smart Home Integrated: Use voice commands to learn about your water use. Phyn works seamlessly with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. And with IFTTT you can have Phyn trigger actions with other smart home devices.

Manage multiple properties

PHYN PLUS SMART WATER ASSISTANT + SHUTOFF

Auto and Remote Water Shutoff:
After Phyn learns about your home’s water use, it can turn your water off automatically to prevent damage from leaks. You also have the choice to turn your water off yourself via the app, from anywhere.

Leak alerts:
Phyn constantly monitors your home for leaks and potentially harmful changes in pressure and temperature. As soon as an issue is detected, Phyn sends you SMS and push notifications to tell you what is happening and gives you the power to turn your water off to mitigate water damage.

Water Use:
Stay ahead of your water bill. Graph views of your monthly, daily and even hourly water use.

Water Use Plus:
Track and view your water use daily and monthly and see how your home compares to others. Phyn learns about your plumbing system and communicates your water usage to each fixture type (showers, sinks, toilets, etc…). See every water event in your home so you can teach Phyn about your water use.

Plumbing Checks:
Phyn automatically runs daily diagnostic checks to give you and your plumber insights into your plumbing so that you can ensure that your system is watertight.

Ratings and reviews

Not able to read top of screen as described by others. Should be 2 digits and can only see the first. Not acceptable, especially given how long this has been going on. I have a Samsung S22 Ultra and no other app used has this going on. Words are also cut off when trying to answer flow issues and the app is trying to determine whether it should cut off water or not. Not able to guess most missing parts of the sentence. Would love to hear from the app team why they can't fix.

The app is absolutely terrible and the product isn't any better. The app was super glitchy from the onset. I kept getting an error when trying to register as a new user. I gave up and tried to just log in and was able to. Numerous other glitches, too many to list them all. The in-app installation instructions obviously did not go through quality review. They were missing a VERY critical step. Had I followed them blindly, I would've flooded my kitchen. I would not recommend the app or product.

this app means i have some fancy paper weights. I try to sign up "having problems updating your profile " try to set it up on line, no way to set a password. try to get lost password "cannot process your request" so no access to devices, really glad i didn't install one of the devices that shuts off water flow same issue after jan 22nd 2026 update
